Harvested from a small planting perched upon the prized red soils of the Heathcote Mt Camel range. We pick early (Pinot Grigio style) to maximise natural acidity and delicacy in the wine. A single vineyard pick was cool fermented retaining some natural sugars, then bottled fresh – ready in time for spring.
Our warm climate influence produces delicate stone fruit flavours in Pinot Gris. Aromas of pear, white flowers and light spice carry through, with generous mouthfeel to a fresh finish.
Grigio style wines (being the early harvest of Pinot Gris) are being swept up far and wide by those in the know. Newbies embrace them easily, old-hats enjoy them knowingly. It’s the great crowd pleaser. An uncomplicated choice – Grigio loves sunshine and easy food.
