As with all our red wines, we use small batch fermentation to extract maximum colour and flavour. The 2017 Barrel Select spent 17 months in 100% new, fine-grained, French oak.
Selected in certain vintages – favourable seasonal conditions, low yields and premium oak all contribute to the depth and complexity required. We can never anticipate this wine, we must simply wait the years and see what develops.
Heathcote terroir is sought for the unique intensity it expresses in Shiraz. Our red Cambrian soil does the talking in this full-bodied, generous Shiraz. The crafting for this year’s Shiraz was geared towards an elegant, fruit-driven, subtle style. With pride, we offer barrel FSN17F2 – worthy of selection this year.
