Description
Method
Fiano (fi-ah-no) is a Southern Italian varietal that thrives in Northern Heathcote’s Continental Climate. This single-vineyard fruit was handpicked and gently pressed before fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel using selected yeast chosen to enhance varietal characteristics. These methods are chosen to retain youth, freshness, and vibrancy in the wine.
Results
A dry, fruity, medium-bodied & aromatic white. The palate incorporates white stone fruit, Quince & lemon zest finishing with mouth-watering acidity and light grip.
Conclusion
Fiano retains its acidity exceptionally well in warmer climates yielding great freshness and zing. The wine was kept for an extended time on lees to increase texture and pallet weight. A refreshing, easy-drinking alternative white. Fiano makes a super friendly food wine, with its fresh acidity pairing exceptionally well with spicy Asian delights or greasier meat & cream based dishes.
