Description

Method

We take from a single vineyard block on the prized red Cambrian soil of Mt.Camel. The wine pretty much makes itself. To complete the process we blend a small amount of our Shiraz to bolster the structure of the finished wine.

Results

Heathcote has again rewarded us with rich purple fruits, dark cherry, light spice & fine tannins. It’s the wine we love, – each glass is easy, exciting, and rewarding. One of those varieties that simply needs to be on your table, if not, then on your radar.

Conclusion

The Heathcote wine region is gaining traction for Mediterranean varieties. We are repeatedly seeing the result of their suitability for our climate in the wines. As more producers craft regional Tempranillo, we are further convinced of its potential, time and time again. It is an exciting era for Heathcote, as we begin to understand our ‘Shiraz-region’ has so much more to offer.
