We use small batch fermentation to extract maximum colour and flavour from our Shiraz. A minimum 12 months in American and French oak complements the vibrant fruit.
Expect the usual suspects – berries, black-fruits and tones of chocolate. Our style creates an approachable wine with a lovely round finish. The 16’ vintage highlights the robust Heathcote flavour profile, showing similar intense dark fruit characters of our previous years. Rich and impressive with a pleasant balanced finish. Luscious and smooth, with soft tannins ready to enjoy now or develop further with bottle aging should you so wish.
The Heathcote terroir is sought for the structure and spiciness it imparts in Shiraz. We keep it simple, letting the red soil do the talking in creating a full-bodied, silky-smooth Shiraz, needless of aging and ready for enjoyment within your lifetime. In fact, it’s drinking beautifully right now.
