Have we not all earned it this year?!! We’re launching our second collaborative 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS WINE CALENDAR. There has been a whole lot we have missed out on this year. Summer days, surprises, and enjoying great wine need not be one of them!
The Heathcote Women in Wine have created Australia’s first regional Christmas Wine Calendar, with our ’12 Days of Christmas’ surprise collection. There is truly no other gift like it available for serious wine appreciators. As one of a handful of initiatives launched by the group in 2020, this thoughtfully curated calendar includes 12 individual half bottles (375ml) from six of the region’s celebrated boutique producers. Recipients are invited to celebrate in the true spirit of the ’12 days of Christmas’ by opening each door to reveal a surprise wine from the 25th of December until the 6th of January. Alternatively, if you can’t wait (no judgement here) you might enjoy counting down the days leading up to Christmas. Lovers of the 2021 Wine Calendar will be surprised all over again with an all-new collection of wines that include many new releases.
Together we have selected a variety of highly regarded wines (including current, new & cellar releases) designed to give a broad tasting experience of our Heathcote region. There are no double-ups, and we have catered for all tastes with a mix of 4 white wines, 2 rosés and 6 Mediterranean and traditional reds.
Available between October 18th – November 14th (sooner if sold out). Wine Calendars will be shipped from November 15th.

ABOUT HEATHCOTE WOMEN IN WINE
The collaboration behind the Heathcote Women in Wine is a positive story amongst the challenges of COVID-19 lockdowns. In May 2020 we joined together in a hosted wine tasting as part of Sanguine Estate’s virtual wine tastings on Facebook Live and Zoom. With cellar doors closed, it was a powerful way to reconnect with everyone at home and find some positives during the lockdown. The joy found in working together sparked a new, and more formal collaboration, ‘Heathcote Women in Wine’. The focus is on celebrating and promoting our beloved Heathcote region, and honouring the many professional women contributing to our thriving industry.
From this collaboration, we have been able to offer multi-winery, regional, mixed wine packs (a rare opportunity for wine lovers). The first wines chosen were based on the women choosing a wine in their range that was close to their hearts. Surprisingly, this resulted in a different variety being chosen by each; further emphasising Heathcote’s growing diversity. Today the region is expanding further on the recognised, celebrated and highly awarded Shiraz – to the plethora of new wave Italian, French and Spanish varietals.
With the brief re-opening of Cellar Doors in June, four of our six Founding Members joined together to form the Heathcote Women in Wine trail. The coordination of this trail, along with its simple booking platform, allows visitors to explore cellar door offerings on a perfectly timed booking system with stops located within 10 minutes of each other. Currently, there are 5 wineries operating on this booking platform. Farmer & The Scientist feature their occasional pop-up Cellar Door in the main street of Heathcote.
